Issue 200 passed on November 4th by a vote of 52.01% to 47.99%! Because of your campaign support, voters sided with the animals and voted to fund a new facility where Larimer Humane Society can continue to do the important work of saving animal lives. Now we can count on saving so many more!
There are no words to say that can describe our elation at the recent passage of Ballot Issue 200! Thanks to your “Yes on 200” vote, the animals and community we serve at Larimer Humane Society will soon be enjoying a long overdue brand new facility.
Groundbreaking will begin sometime in 2015 and you will all be invited! Our new 39,000-square-foot shelter will be located on County Road 30 in between Fort Collins and Loveland. It will allow us to provide a larger and safer environment for homeless animals with modern ventilation to help control the spread of disease. As well, it will be more aesthetically pleasing for those seeking to adopt a new pet and provide more comfort to those wishing to relinquish a pet.
Thank you again for your vote and help in getting the animals a new facility!
